Stuttgart Air Raid Shelter (Weilimdorf)
Today I decided that I would try and find an above ground air raid shelter near the church building where I attend. It seemed to be only 2 miles away. It was relatively easy to find and although I was not able to enter it, you could see that built to protect citizens from the shrapnel and explosions of the Allied bombing raids. Arches where windows might have been are sealed except for small breathing holes. The stone looked relatively thick and would be able to deflect most shrapnel except a direct hit.
